Yesterday was Samhain, aka the beginning of the Witch’s New Year. With that, I’ve decided to try and take some small steps and make some efforts to improve myself in small ways.
You’ll notice that this blog is fairly bare. Some of you may remember that I had imported everything from my Blogger blog. So where did it all go? It’s simple – I exported the content, and then deleted it. I had not posted anything in ages, and I wanted a fresh start, without feeling bogged down or bummed by seeing that my posts had been so few and far between.
I also set myself a small goal for the month of November. See, November is also NaNoWriMo and, while I don’t have the goal of writing a novel, I set for myself a goal of writing some fiction every day (just not stuff I had been working on earlier this year). NaNoWriMo sets a 50k word limit for your novel for the month, which breaks down to about 1,667 words per day. With that being said, I will also be keeping track of my writing statistics, now just for NaNo, but in general. I’ll put the link at the top of this page.
I am also debating resuming a daily or maybe just weekly card draw, though I think I might use an oracle deck instead of a tarot deck. I haven’t fully decided on this however.
