In an effort to better my mental health, I thought I’d start the new year off by listing the things I accomplish in a day as a way to combat my depression. Now, I don’t neccesarily plan to publish these lists (at least not publicly), however I am mentioning them here in case anyone else would like to try the same thing. Quite honestly, I think it helped me out for a good chunk of the day.
To help out anyone reading this, especially if you are considering trying this, it’s important to remember that depression can make doing anything a struggle. Even if it’s something as simple as remembering to take your meds or shower can go on a list of accomplishments. I listed several small things I did, as well as some bigger things. By doing this, my list expanded to around 26 accomplishments for the day.
As for my reading goal for the year, I set my goal on goodreads, and added the progress widget to my site here (you should be able to see it below). As for the rest (watching more, spiritual things, writing) I have not gotten to it yet, but neither did I set a goal for how often to do those things.
